Chess preparation optimization
Walica, Roman ; Roupec, Jan (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
This work is focused on the preparation for the chess game, the issue of Elo rating system and optimization of the problem associated with the preparation for the chess tournament. You can find here how to obtain and modify appropriate information about potential opponents behind the chessboard. Result of this work is an optimization model which, if you enter relevant data, calculates how much time to spend on preparations for chess variants.
Chess
Valsa, Vít ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main purpose of my bachelor's thesis was to create the chess computer game software with graphic user interface and to design and develop an algorithm of chess computer with learning ability. It was also necessary to create an interface to the board games manager. In the first part of my work I present the chess game rules and already existing chess game software and specialised chess computers. The next part discusses the mini-max algorithm and other derived algorithms and their possible improvements. The main part of the work deals in description of design and realization of the developed application. The user interface and functionality of the application is also described. In the conclusion the achieved results are summarized and the possible directions of further development of the application are described.
Chess Program for Bughouse Variant
Staňa, Marek ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes process of creating a chess program playing Bughouse variant allowing to play against human or other programs. Firstly explains difference in Bughouse rules from classic chess, main part is about artificial intelligence. It compares individual methods used for making chess programs and adapts them to Bughouse variant.
Electronic Chessboard on the FITKit Platform
Kubín, Jakub ; Zachariášová, Marcela (referee) ; Kaštil, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis, design and implementation of chess on FITkit platform. The platform is connected to the VGA monitor, on which is shown the chessboard with the figures. The game is controlled by using the keyboard on FITkit platform. The work describes the realisation of the unit for the display of the checkerboard that is implemented in the programmable gate field. Software of the microcontroller controls the depictive unit, generates possible moves and checks strokes of figures. There is a control whether the King does not have the check and if the game is not over because of checkmate or stalemate.
Chess Program for Various Chess Variations
Jadrníček, Zbyněk ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describes process of creating chess program allowing human play against computer. First part explains chess rules, next parts are about artificial intelligence. Thesis deals with nontraditional chess variants and also with changes, which were made in implementation in comparasion with classical game. It compares usual chessboard representations in computer, methods of playing games and techniques of evaluation chessboard state. The aim was to achieve high artificial intelligence by using of effective algorithms.
Explanatory Analysis of the Chess Game
Chess Program with Various Chess Variations with New Figure
Dostál, Martin ; Křena, Bohuslav (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with an analysis and evaluation of methods and algorithms needed for successfull implementation of a chess program. Both the basic principles and further currently used extensions of these methods and algorithms are stated with a goal to implement a quality chess program playing different chess variations including a new figure. This thesis also introduces the basic pillars of every chess program - these pillars include board representation, state space search, evaluation of a game state and changes required for implementation of new chess variations. A comparison of difficulties of individual methods is included for an overview.
Logical Network Games for Android
Kubík, Michal ; Škoda, Petr (referee) ; Kouřil, Jan (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis was the implementation of application for playing logical games. This work deals with Android platform and the possibilities of creation and deployment of applications for this platform. The known algorithms that are used for implementation of an artificial intelligence are described in the work. The ways of wireless communication between mobile device are also mentioned. The graphical user interface of application, solution of an artificial inteligence and the network communication are described in the implementation part of this work.
Educational Chess Program
Floryán, Kamil ; Rogalewicz, Adam (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals problems with an artificial intelligence and a user interface of a chess program. There is also a description of design and implementation of a tutorial part for this program. Chess engines and current chess programs focused on teaching are being analysed, too.
Mobile Application for Automatic Recording of Chess Games
Jiruška, Adam ; Bobák, Petr (referee) ; Čadík, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is focused on making application for mobile devices, which records progress of chess game. This is achieved by image recognition on input from camera. Chess figures are classified by neural network. Usage of application is during training or real matches to record games and then for analyzing these games. For analyzing, my application offers record in standard algebraic notation. User can also add notes to every game.
